Summer of 2022 finally saw some events return that had been postponed since the pandemic. Maine Fiddle Camp ran 4 sessions at its new location at Pilgrim Lodge in Gardiner, ME. Adapting to a new location during the ongoing pandemic was a lot of work, but well worth the effort to get that community back together. (photo credit: Kenny Raskin)
There have been more dances to play for weddings, local dances, and other events this year, and contradance weekends are trying to organize for later this year and in 2023. You can find info about a few of those on the schedule page. Fingers crossed for no new COVID strains or surges.
Fall is also a time where many get inspired to start or resume mandolin lessons. I’m still teaching on Zoom, and in-person in Portland, ME…and I have room for a few more students if you’re interested.
